I'm currently having a "healthy confrontation" with Diamond customer service. I chose miles for three stays. They will not give me my Diamond Amenity points. Their argument is that, when one chooses miles, you're not eligible for any points-based bonuses. I get that; However, the Diamond Amenity is totally separate. I've now been through three reps and one supervisor who are locked down tight on this issue. I've never chosen miles before. I've always chosen points, so this has never been an issue.

Now it's something that I have a problem with on principle. It's tough enough, especially at HP properties, to get agents to even enter miles information correctly, let alone bonuses. If they are going to refuse a Diamond Amenity because we choose miles, the Diamond amenity is devalued.

I'm on the phone with Consumer Affairs now discussing it. If you've had this issue before, how did you get it resolved?

EDITED: Consumer Affairs tells me that this is a matter of many agents not understanding the Diamond Amenity. The Consumer Affairs rep took care of the posting within a minute. He also advised that, if it happens again, to escalate the call to them at once, and they will straighten out Gold Passport. I appreciated the swift response, even if Gold Passport CS dropped the ball on this one.
