I have never, in three FFN promotions, gotten an FFN at a good property (except on a last minute basis at the PH SF, which is how I finally burned some awards).

Being a diamond has never helped. The diamond folks claim they cannot add more nights to FFN, even if it is the afternoon of the award request and the hotel has rooms available.

Giving diamond reservations months of date flexibility has never helped me.

No one at Hyatt has ever offered to extend the expiration dates on my FFNs.

My two current FFN's will probably expire unused, unless I want to spend them at Rickey's.

The advice given by previous posters is probably good if you can plan FFN stays months in advance and make reservations the instant the program is announced (before you have the FFN's). But for me, this is pretty much a useless program, because I cannot get decent awards that fit into my work schedule.
