I'm not sure when you made your reservations, but the nights you want are close to if not near spring breaks.

Next time FFNs come up, I would get on the horn and book the places you may end up going to. If it doesn't pan out, cancel quickly so that they can add the rooms back to the inventory. Having said that, I would be pretty prissed if I called on first day of booking to find that every single premium property was taken by those who "think" they may be gracing Paris, Sydney, Milan in the near future, but haven't the points or the reservations booked to qualify for the FFN.

I hope you can find somewhere to stay.

I know its not much of a consolation, but there are hundreds of fabulous four and five star hotels in Paris that are quite reasonable and not as stuffy as the PH. I can't say that about other places that you would stay using your FFN.
