So I booked a cash and miles ticket which left me plenty of time for my connection to AC's last flight of the day YYZ-LHR in Executive First. I find out my connecting flight (that operates once daily) has been re-timed leaving me with a 35minute connection from Air Canada Jazz to an international flight!
I tried to replicate this new booking on Air Canada's website and it wouldn't let me which to me indicates that it is an illegal connection.

No call from bmi, no email from bmi, just a pure luck chance on checkmytrip.com picked it up. I've received calls from them in the past on these issues and now I'm left, travelling in less than two weeks, with an extremely tight connection and no viable options left in award availability via any other connecting point.
I understand this is not exactly bmi's fault but they've contacted me in the past when partner airlines flights have been cancelled and retimed. Why not this time?
What exactly are my options given that I am now on what I can only assume is an illegal connection? Is it unreasonable to expect to be put on a flight in revenue class?
Thanks,
M
