I was at the hotel last week and I do disagree with the statement that the hotel is a dump... the restaurant needs urgent refurbishment, but I understand that Hyatt said that they will do it as soon as they take over. Otherwise the hotel is a pretty nice hotel, with some historical style and I would rate it as amongst the best English style hotels in London. Sure there are both better hotels in London (dependingly on whats important to you in a hotel) or cheaper hotels, but on balance, I quite like the the hotel's Englishness and its location. Well, that's me, others may disagree!
