I flew YHZ-LHR( Air Canada) then LHR-BOM on Jet Airways.
I did this 3 days after the agreement started ( Within 3 days Jet Airways was still wide open, same as AC YHZ-LHR. Very lucky)
Perhaps because it was so new, they could only issue me a boarding pass from Halifax to London. The agent in Halifax had no idea what Jet Airways was, and never seen it as a connection before. When in heathrow I had to find the Jet Airways desk, get my boarding passes from them and do seat selection.
I am Air Canada Elite and was given no access to lounges in London becasuse I had a Jet Airways ticket.
I flew out BOM-ZRH(Swiss) ZRH-YYZ-YHZ ( Air Canada).
They have a lounge in BOM for *G. It is a contracted lounge and really not nice, then again BOM is one of the worst airports I've been to. The lounge matches the Airport.
Jet Airways was fantastic in Y. Lot's of room, great AVOD, good food. Airplane was only half full.
To get my Status miles for the flight I had to mail aeroplan my Boarding Pass with my E-Ticket. However I think this has now changed and the status miles get credited right to your account.
According to the Air Canada agent I was the first passenger to do this on Air Canada codeshare, so she told me to expect some hiccups. I took everything in stride. Someone has to be the Guinea Pig, no?
Enjoy!
