I will be in Japan for a few weeks traveling through the cities listed in my title. I plan on taking my locked iphone with me, hoping to be able to connect via WiFi in order to search the web and research while on the go.

I was hoping that there was something similar to a Google's WiFi in Mountain View but on a much much larger scale and a paid service.

Does such a service exist or am I out of luck?
