I'm redeeming the last of my Hyatt points in Tokyo next month for 3-night stay.

Someone posted on CC that they have a Club Upgrade that can be used for 3 nights & was willing to trade something like club passes, drink chits, or Hyatt cert.

So - can an award cert & an upgrade cert be combined? If so, would be interested in doing a trade, but if not, then no of course.

Also, someone asked in a dif thread on delivery time of certs, but I was confused (easily done) by the answer, so my additional ? is below.

I transferred some Diners pts into my Hyatt account to top off the points I was short of, and it will take 2 weeks to transfer. That's ok, but then that gives me about a 10-day window for a cert. I asked her about delivery times & she said it was electronic/not to worry about. That implied to me the hotel just deducts points & no physical cert is needed, but knowing that famous saying about assuming anything, thought I'd confirm here. Don't want to get to Tokyo Grand & have to sort out any problems there.
