I have been doing some PL Hyatt stays, however, I tend to spend some money on incidentals. I would say an average of $20 per night on incidentals, but sometimes, up to $100. E.g. parking, internet, food/bev, etc. I have used hotels near my home to entertain friends, and this results in revenue to the hotel.

Also speaking of Hyatt customer service, there is a Hyatt I have probably stayed at 15 times in the last 6 months. The other day, I got a letter from one of the managers to tahnk me for my business. It was the usual form letter, except, the manager invited me for a meal and meeting to discuss my impressions of the hotel. I have been Platinum with Starwood, Diamond with Hilton, and had other airline and hotel statuses. Never, have I observed a situation outside of Hyatt where a hospitality/airline manager took the time to try to proactively meet with their top guests. Actually, I take that back, once with both Northwest and Continental (with the local people in BOS not the corporate office) they did invite me to go in to the back office and meet with them to talk about customer service. Most hotels just stop at printing out form letters, so I commend Hyatt for trying to schedule meetings with their guests. Has anyone else received such an invitation? I specifically reduced my Hilton stays because they would not honor elite benefits on PL bookings. Same with Starwood, along with huge delutions in promotions over at HOT. HOT used to have promos on par with FFN but no more.
