My 2 cents on the issue

I am top tier at both programs as well as a Hilton Honors Diamond member. I came to realization that one program had to go this year and have focused on Hyatt & Hilton.

In regards to Suite upgrades at SPG properties, do they even have suites?? In all my 2002 & 2003 stays, I had one (1) Suite upgrade. The final straw was working my tail off to requalify when SPG would target promo my neighbor to stay just 5 times in 2 months to reach what took me 8 months to accomplish.

Hyatt has amazing promotions, great customer service and excellent amenities. I get a nice welcome which at some properties is the equivelent of a dinner, breakfast, two bottles of water and at many properties a few bonus points as well.

Hilton was second place with nice locations of their Garden properties, breakfast, welcome amenity and double dipping is a nice touch.

In many locations it is hit or miss; but, frankly at SPG it was far too many misses for my very patient taste.
