Julia doesn't post as frequently, but offers serviuce just as good as William for elite (or really any I would suppose) members. Don't factor this as any sort of negative in switching.

I'm a former Starwood platinum (well, I will be in 4 days!) and that is a butt in the bed loyal SPG guy for several years earning status the hard way. Its a good program and they do a great job, SOMETIMES, with suite UG's if you don't mind that rush of lottery-like anticipation to see if you get one or not. They've got Hyatt on that, I rarely get suites at Hyatt but certainly have sometimes. In all other regards, I like Hyatt better. Their locations are more limited, but then again I was a little burned on most of the best SPG destinations after being with them so long so Hyatt is like a breath of fresj air. And I've personally decided that frankly, I like free breakfasts & club access more than suites. I never thought I'd say that, but my recent stay at Princeville as platinum ran me $400 in breakfasts - sure is nice to free that money up for dinners when staying at Hyatt Kauai.
