Anyways after much debating, they accepted to hold the res for few days with no price guarantee.
I just received the card (res expired at the time) made a new res, everytime I click purchase & finalize the res, it gave me an error message. After several attempts called the cust rep and they told me it is due to the pricing. They said that what I see on the screen is non-existing price for that European flights and when they entered the exact flight connections (NYC- AMS-IST-PAR-NYC) they ended up with a higher price.
I was so tired and frustrated and wanted to finalize it and asked the cust rep to go ahead and make the res. But I do not understand how the website have one price, and the cust rep a higher price.
I printed the whole thing online but do not know what to do. Any idea would be appreciated.
Ticket prices fluxuate based on availability and demand. While the system may display a $300 'T' fare there may be only one available when displayed and by the time you've finished your itinerary that 'T' fare was booked by someone else who completed their reservation before you. I've experienced this problem a number of times which is frustrating yet it is the way the pricing system is setup.
