I am endeared to Hyatt, too, but I have to agree with mjcasta. I only fly 1-2 times per year, but am able to make numerous 1-night stays at local Hyatts in a year. I choose the miles and bonus/promos because 500 - 1500 - 2000 miles are a lot for me. In 7 stays with mile promos (Feb-April), only one has posted the bonus miles. I alternate between Amer West & AA. I gave up asking for the promo at the front desk--not one has been able to input a miles promo code. That's ok, I don't mind calling GP when I get home. But they do not "fix it without delay". I've called 4-5 times and still no bonus miles (also waiting for 1000 GP points for dining from 2 months ago). I always get the runaround like oops it was a data entry error, you'll have to wait another 4-6 weeks; or the miles have been sent to the airlines, there's nothing more we can do. I honestly don't know if the fault is Hyatt's or the airlines. But last time the CSR suggested maybe whoever keyed in the miles on the airline's end accidently keyed in 500 instead of 1500. Now do you really think someone at the airlines types in all those award miles? I just wish I knew who did what the one time (out of 7) all the miles posted within a few weeks. I have enough unposted miles that it's holding up a free airline ticket. In the meantime I just try to remain happy with the FFN's . . .
