Ugh! I hate this! On my last stay at the Denver Tech Center, I really blew them away. I had a GP2000 bonus. Desk clerk looked at me like my head had just spun around. Ok, waited until he couldn't wait any more and interupted his co-worker who quickly set him straight.
Then, look out. I asked for the partner bonus for United. "We don't double dip sir." I tried to explain it to him twice and each time he said I could get United miles, but not GP points. I pulled out the printout off goldpassport.com and gave it to him b/c I've always had this problem at this hotel. That STILL didn't do any good. Again he had to interrupt his buddy.
Miraculously, both bonuses posted. I've never got my bonus points for the meal certificates they sent out; always, always have to fax those in or call.
Another question, but don't want to hijack this thread: can I get bonus points for both an air and a ground partner (United AND Avis)? I don't see anything on the website that says I'm limited to only one partner bonus.
