On a separate note, is check-in cut-off really 60 minutes? I got a nicely-worded tongue lashing last week for showing up at 55 minutes before flight time.
There is no guarantee that the F checkin will be quicker than the J checkin. Last month, as I walked by the J checkin, I noticed that there was nobody there, just walked up and did the deed. F can get bottlenecked at times.
If you show up at 55 minutes, you'll probably make the flight, but checked baggage is less certain. Why not show up earlier, and take advantage of the lounges now that you're Plat?
