I might consider signing up for another Chase SW card next year sometime, but I currently have another credit card through AMEX that's giving me a better "earning ratio". Questions on this:
3) If I cancel the account, will I still get credit for all purchases made up to the cancellation date (provided the $1200 per credit threshold is reached)? Basically if I have $1300 in award dollars when I cancel, will I still get the 1 credit that is due to me on my last statement?
Thanks!
Only if your timing is perfect. I cancelled mine a few months ago when they jacked the rate and had quite a few reward dollars stranded. Generally, any awards that have not been transferred at the time you cancel the card will remain the "property" of the card issuer.
