Philipine Airlines needs to join an alliance such as SkyTeam, OneWorld or Star Alliance so if I have an American Advantage Account or Delta Sky Miles I could get miles using that account since Mubuhay Miles have no value unless I go to Manila. If you can earn AA miles on Cathay Pacific then you should be able to do the same on Philippine Airlines.
