I totally agree on the Grand Hyatt.
I've stayed in Grand Hyatt hotels in Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, San Diego - and was very pleased.
So, when I saw a Grand Hyatt NYC - for only $199 a night - I said why not.
Now I know.
My upgraded Regency Club room did not have a coffee maker - besides which the Regency Club there is not open on weekends.
Room layout was bizarre - I had a decent sitting area but the bathroom was small enough I could touch any 2 walls with just my elbows extended.
I did not even get hand lotion for the figurative reaming I received.
Never again, and redoubled never again on behalf of my mother-in-law who I took there to see the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
