However, Mabuhay Miles accrual is a perk I'm willing to bet people are willing to pay for. The premium, at least domestically, isn't that much: for example, MNL-CEB on fare class W (P1328 for WPX, P1516 for WPR, exclusive of taxes) does not earn miles. However, fare class T on this route is as little as P500 more (the fare is between P1900 and P2000, though the exact figure escapes me, and this is also exclusive of taxes). I'm inclined to believe that mileage runners won't gripe over $10, especially since the $15 fare is already cheap to begin with.
Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I did not see a way to purchase tickets "by fare class" on the website. If I can get miles for all my travels around the Philippines, that would be great. I currently pay P1008 for my CDO-Cebu tickets and P1805 for my CDO-MNL tickets. Of course this week I purchased 1o flights for P888 between CDO-MNL and back over the next two months. This is a great price and the difference between a sale fare on 5J and a mileage earning fare on PAL may be too large. (Except of course, If I start to see some FF benefits).
