Planning an upcoming trip from US to UK and so spent time yesterday trying to order some things online. There are two of us here doing this with different credit cards and we found we
- could order Heathrow Express tickets
- could not order Stansted Express tickets
- could pay for a hotel using Booking.com
- could not top up an Oyster card on tfl.gov
- could not order a new Oyster card from DirectBritain.com (that's not what it's called but something like that)
- order something from eBay in the US

Every time we had a problem we verified the details and tried another card but even a day later they still don't work. And of course we called the credit card company but they show no declines on the account which suggests that the orders aren't even being sent to them to approve or decline but that something is broken further up the process.

If it was just the one card, I'd say it's me. But it's multiple cards and multiple people and multiple vendors, so I'm wondering what's wrong? Is there an outage somewhere?
