I was through KUL in January with a 5 hour layover - I exited through Immigration and went outside the airport for daybreak (Chinese New Year was a few days before and the building was decorated up with lanterns, etc). The grounds around the terminal are nice enough to kill a couple hours exiting and re-entering.... I took some photos: I got some neat contrails with the curvy roof line of the main terminal in the foreground.
