Minor typo, which I only noticed because I was about to post the same concern: this is for crossing 1MM, not 2MM. Those who cross 2MM or higher get four eVIPs no matter where they live. It's only at 1MM that North Americans get 500-mile upgrades, those outside it get eVIPs.
