CBC had a timing-wasting "exposé" on this subject a few weeks ago on Fifth Estate. Same old Sen Colin Kenny BS. Most of these changes really affect private pilots and aircraft which have proliferated to the point it would be impossible to regulate/oversee in the same way unless they all coughed up $s to cover the cost. As someone who flies 200K+ in a year, I have no concerns about this negatively impacting commercial air travel.
