I agree that between 3-6 PM there is more chance of a go around. The OP should remember that it is dark about 5:45 PM so if the landing is after that, it doesn't really matter where he sits.

That being said, as I mentioned in an above post, I personally find the go around very interesting sitting on the left side, especially during the left handed turns and by that time the plane is pretty low.
