I just spoke to another "manager" here who told me the same thing I was originally told: The choice is EITHER room upgrade OR lounge access, but NOT BOTH. And, it was reiterated that this is a policy that will be used across all Hyatts. I wonder if this in indeed true. As I mentioned, I have never once had a hotel ask me to choose.
