In regards to the clubs at PHX, I don't think that you are missing much if you can't get in. I have been a member of America West Club then the US Airways Club for several years. I think that the clubs at PHX are below average as well as the personnel.

Also, I have run into some PHX club employees with 'anti-young children attitude' when my young son has been traveling with me. Back in September 2008, my wife and then 2 YO son was traveling with me. We went to the US Airways Club (Concourse B) in PHX before our flight. I went to the restroom in the club before we were ready to leave. My son started to sing the "Old McDonald' song...he wasn't loud nor screaming nor screeching and there were no one sitting within 15’ of my wife and son (they were sitting near the check-in desk at the club…when we go into airport lounges, we try to find seating that is away from every one plus we are always ready to leave in case if my son acts up but we haven’t yet in 3 years); however, one of the club employees in a snotty tone told my wife that 'this is a business club and if my son doesn't stop singing at once, we will be asked to leave."

My wife didn't tell me until we boarded the flight. If she would have told me that when we were in the club, I would have told the US Airways employee 1) cancel my membership (I didn’t renew it a few months later); 2) a business club!?!...come on, if this is a business club, how about getting some laptop workspace in these clubs instead of 'bar stools and tables"; and 3) how about those adults in the club who were shouting into their cell phones (as well as using profanity)...they were louder than my son was.
