CX has gained my business with the new seats. I fly mainland-SYD or MEL semi-regularly and used to choose SQ. I tried CX and find it much better. I have no problem with the seat comfort wise and always sleep almost the entire flight. I also prefer the shorter connecting flight on KA which means a longer onward flight = more sleeping time.

The main reason for the change, however, is the guarantee of lie flat that CX offers to SYD or MEL. SQ still flies their ancient 777's with recliners (worse than UA recliners) on some of their MEL and SYD frequencies as well as the 747 with the slanted lie flats. CX is a better option for me and its because of the seats!
