US$125 change fee
I have flown about half a dozen Xone4's, always ex-Australia, purchased either from TAs, Qantas or AA. I have made many time, date and routing changes over the years, and have sometimes had occasion to try and work out what the rules mean. However, I was just now very surprised to learn from Qantas that if I want to make a time or date change that increases the time between destinations to greater than 24 hours, I would be creating a new stopover and this would require a ticket reissue and, therefore, payment of the change fee. I am very indecisive and/or flexible with my travel arrangements, and must have made dozens of date or time changes only (ie, not what I understand to be routing changes), and I have never come across this rule before - is Qantas correct? There is a reference in my rule sheet (I don't know whether it is current - it is entitled "RWR1 RULE 3015
AIR TARIFF RULE 3030/PAT RULE O030") to changes being permitted provided "ticketed points" remain the same - what is a ticketed point, is it the same as a stopover?
