Some of my favorites are the guys that drop their bags in the first open bin and walk to the back of the plane so they don't have to carry it so far. When the space is finally needed by someone that actually sits there, I'm tempted to pull the offending piece out and tell the FA there's no room for it and don't know who left it there on the floor.
I was on a CO flight in F and some folks going back to Y pulled this putting their carry-ons above a couple empty seats across from me. They had just made an announcement that it was a full flight and anything the couldn't be stowed would have to be checked. There was a FA who was standing there watching so I didn't say anything, and of course, when the pax in those F seats arrived, no room. They had to put at least one of their carry-ons back in Y.
