Yes call in and have your record noted as a Diamond. My experience was it takes awhile to show up in the regular res system they see when checking you in. Also, and very important, since you won't have a card yet, print out your Gold Passport summary from Hyatt.com to show them at the desk you are a Diamond. (Maui is a heavily-booked resort and upgrades are not automatic, but you might as well try. Kaanapali is great. The best part of the beach and reef is at the other end from the Hyatt in front of the Sheraton). Haven't been since last November and I am jealous.
