Flying JFK-CAI on Dec. 27 returning Jan. 05.

Would like to fly business class but not at the published rates.

Has any one flown on this route recently and had any experience on a same day upgrade at the airport and what it might cost?

Alternatively, any suggestions on where I could look to book a discounted J fare?
