Silly me....I have been looking for Hyatt properties in London. One of the major capitals of the world and my hometown. It seems there isn't one?

This somewhat racy decision on my part, is due in frustration at HHiltons lack of ANY award availability in December for my hard earned points, if you are not a Diamond. As a leisure traveler mainly, I never get close to Diamond level.

Same thing happened last year. Because of the horrendous devaluation of HH points, I have decided to quit gathering, and burn. Easier said than done. My HH status slipped to Silver this year so I have useless points unless I want to stay in Ames Iowa on a wet Weds in January..a little dramatic but you get my point. (No offence to Iowa)

*wood's recent decision to disallow point accrual on stays booked via non Starwood web sites have pretty much ruled them out for me also. I will burn my *wood points on an upcoming Disney trip.

So, that brings me to HYATT. I have read the posts regarding FFN, and am getting a MasterCard to participate in the next round which comes up Oct 15th?

As I understand it, 2 stays gets you one free (weekend) night and you can redeem at any status level with a minimum of hoop jumping? Sounds good to me. The lack of nationwide properties is not really a problem, I will go where the Resorts are. Having a property in London would be good though.
