first, i notice you are in europe, so these may not work.

the marshall's discount store in usa carries quite decent luggage that will run high mileage. nothing matching, but lots of everything. outstanding prices. they are long on carryons and maxi bags. my carryon is probably moving into the second hundred trips. the maxi is hammered after 50 trips. for a sturdy to haul wine, i went to the retread place, and got an old iron sided samsonite.

for a car, can you get a toyota or a subaru and get it serviced? they really do last for a long time with minimal failures(400,000 km or so). if not, then i guess a MB diesel is the best choice.
