@kacheng: that´s a good deal and I would do it but since I´m planning to leave Hawai in mid December I´m out of the allowed period. I have to check wheather there are other good deals to the US and buying there a intra-US award.

@DownUnderfFlyer: on a first call LH told me that I have to be downgreaded if I fly in C from Europe and when there is only a 2 cabin plane from the US but I´m not believing this since United told me something different. Are the EWR & ORD flights also 2 cabin? Is it worth taking a longer flight for having more from the United F instead of the LH C?

@that_guy: I thought about that since I wanted to stay one week in NRT but all seats in C are booked from Hawai back to NRT from December 15-22. If you have further recommendations I would be happy since this routing is my favourite. I hope I can trust the LH callcenter about the availability...
