One thing you might want to do is to try and grab an exit row seat once the higher level elites start to clear. If you have to sit in coach, it's the next best thing to the front cabin. Chances are that a Platinum or Gold will have the exit row; once they start to clear, the seat becomes available for others to request--if the GA isn't too busy to help you switch seats.
