There is always a chance. But you are currently #1 on the upgrade list because you checked-in early. There is still over 20 hours for other higher ranked Medallions to check-in which will move you down the upgrade list.

Upgrade is processed whenever DL decides to release upgrade inventory. If Delta decides to release upgrade inventory. It may be sometime up to 3 hours before departure or the the gate.
