Has anyone had better luck with this? Am I just missing something obvious?
I am a UA 1K, and had to fly US round trip twice a month for the last year and a half. I booked the US flights on the US websitee, and had no difficulty entering my UA #, although the site will always default to the US nbr.
Once I forgot to enter the UA #, and noticed that when I printed the boarding passes. The agent in the US club was able to change it, as long as I had not yet flown on that itinerary.
Also, the US Air website won't recognize the UA/Star status (in my case, Star Gold) in seat selection, although if you don't manually change the seat, it will default to the premium seating. Premium on US simply means front of economy cabin, they don't have the equivalent of Economy Plus.
