Hi,

just need some help with an award booking. Would like to go from Germany to Hawai in C (160000 miles) this November and found out that there is only a two class plane from Los Angeles or San Francisco to Hawai.

If I book in C do I get into F or in Y on the LA-Hawai-leg?
Is the United F nice or not really to recommend?

I´m thinking about splitting the award and flying to the US in C and from the US the short flight to Hawai in Y which would save me miles (90000+40000=130000) if the United F is not really good. I´m planning to stop for some days in LA or SF on the way so I have to put thoughts about check-in in the US etc. into my plans as well so that a full C would be more convenient?! (e.g. luggage in Y within the US has to be paid as far as I know).
