From the Chismes (Gossip) column of the CARIBBEAN BUSINESS journal;
"THE REST OF THE STORY"
"Some well-placed corporate neighbors of the Hyatt Regency Cerromar Hotel & Resort think the facility will end up remaining a hotel after all. They're not convinced by the hotel management's stated reasons for the closure (such as increased competition in the area and 9/11), and believe that the real reason is that the hotel needs to unload all of the expensive union employees it has accumulated over the years. "If the hotel could start up again with a fresh crop of entry-level employees, I have no doubt that it would be profitable," said one neighbor in the know."
