Not having any 50% off coupons, the best rate for July I've found is on the order of E450 a night (senior rate or 'corporate rate'; the latter through a travel agent). This sounds like too much for this hotel, based on the reviews here and in other threads.

Dare I ask, do they do Entertainment discounts? Or any other way to get a decent price? Otherwise, it's award travel or another hotel for us!

Edited to add:
Decided to use points, but still need to pay for one room night. Hyatt res won't match the widely available corp/consolidator rate of E450, so I'm emailing someone I know at Hyatt Int'l to see if they can help. I can't find any rates below E450/night.

The reason I didn't have enough GP points is that the hotel wasn't available at 15,000 points a night but as a "special accomodation to Diamond members" would be available at 24,000 points/night. The higher pointage does seem reasonable for that hotel. I guess that's Hyatt's way of creating a higher redemption class than the published ones.
