I have stayed at both the Hyatt Kowloon and G.Hyatt HK many times in the past two years on pre-negotiated corporate rate and UA 50% hotel voucher rates. In general, the G.Hyatt outclass the Kowloon in both service and room/RC comfort -- so I do minimize using the Kowloon.

I have found the Kowloon property to be inconsistent in its service levels depending on which RC staff you interact with -- they also seem to have inconsistent interpretation of what discounted rates qualify for the RC access b/c I got some flak twice while other times it was okay.

While I can understand if a particular property's GM is given latitude to run the business as a local profit-center operation, I object to the INCONSISTENCY between stated GP Diamond policy vs. local operation that deviate from the norm. Just make it clear once and for all -- and then let us make the hotel choice knowing UPFRONT the service qualification condiditions.
