Good to see Hyatt not only lurking but responding on this thread. I read and reread the terms and conditions as it is only with Hyatt I am equally perplexed about benefits and because of this, generally have either a very good stay or a very bad one based on these inconsistencies.

My rate at Hong Kong Hyatt was a corporate rate with my organization. I understand from the policy that my rate would entitle me to Diamond amenities yet within the same paragraph saw mention about negotiated organization rates were not valid?!! Which is it? Starwood allows us to use a Corporate ID and book directly online with it displaying that rate and never did I have a problem about trying to guess which rate allows benefits.

Hyatt should clear up the confusion as well as possibly provide Diamond members waivers for getting out of the ridiculous 72 hour cancellation policy at some of its hotels. Not complaining but rather hopefully providing Hyatt useful feedback to guarantee more business again. Lastly, I still believe that perks are great but if you are on a Priceline/Hotwire stay, credit should not be given because it is not given with the airlines either. I have seen one person argue with hotel staff who mentioned that they would be fined if they put his Gold Passport number in the system!??! Is Hyatt really that nasty with its hotel properties that it reflects on its staff?
