The Hyatt Regency Delhi has issues.
I was in a room there and took a shower, and the shower head was so low, I hit my head very hard on the shower head despite my being of average height.
When I complained to management, they came to the room and wanted me to demonstrate how my head could hit the shower. Well, I showed them how, and they said I should simply bend my head down when in the shower. [Who in the world presumes that at a major international hotel chain, especially at a Hyatt, that I need to watch out for the shower head to save my head, when no reasonable person of average height would ever care to think about that?] Hotel designer had issues obviously and put in ceilings that are way too law in the bathroom, especially above the tub.
No real apology of any sort from the hotel. The hotel is lucky I did not have the time to initiate a never-ending lawsuit within the Indian judicial system for the bump on the back of my head (which is still there). When I get relocated to Delhi for a quarter or two of work later on this year, I will probably inquire about my legal options there. A genuine apology and sincere concern from some manager at this facility, at that time, would have probably made me forget this issue entirely.
