I just called about another issue and all I could hear in the background were agents telling callers that "no you don't have to pay for a seat, only if you want a specific seat". I could hear them explaining how to get seating at T-24 via OLCI and MMB. So it does seem very unfortunate that lots remain very confused as to the actual policy.
