Row 44 (AS's WiFi provider) adding BYOIFE to its service.

Although not exactly AS related I thought it relevant to post this as Row 44 is adding a BYOIFE service to their product mix. Launch customer yet to be decided but it would allow people with their own laptops to access streaming content through a private network only accessible to those inflight.

I often thought since the advent of in-flight WiFi and the amount of people that have laptops now that smaller carriers like AS could have local servers on their 'planes that could stream movies to your own device. They could then produce a WiFi enabled DigiPlayer for those that don't have their own laptop and they wouldn't have to invest in full IFE on-board.

Row 44 opens the door to BYOIFE and a whole lot more
