Thats a pretty harsh comment on the Pilots!

They can speed up the aircraft over the normal/ economical airspeed. I have done it several times often at the request of dispatch to get the aircraft to destination on time.

Its hard to get a grasp of this particular flight because we don't know how long the flight was. You can make up 30 minutes on a 10 hour flight pretty easy no chance on a 2 hour flight , for example.

The comment on early arrivals was " spot on " if you show up early, you probably won't have a place to park.

The other post 1100km/hr thats about 593 knots the 747 cruises around 480 knots so, you had a 113 knot tailwind. Good for you.
