You may want to do a search on this as it has been discussed before in the Starwood Forum.
I will tell you that these are two great hotels and have stayed at both many times.The difference is first the weather and then the feel of the resorts. I will say that the Hyatt Kauai is my most favorite resort in the world period.Use points to upgrade to a suite and you will be very happy.
The Princeville well lets see "stuffy says it all for this place".My wife says that staying here gives her the feel that this hotel is like that of any luxury property in any large city.
