Yes, I know this is an old thread and sorry, it is a bit of a cross post from the AMEX forum, but I felt like these forums might pull in different groups.

Any recent experiences using the Centurion rate? I am trying to book a rental in Switzerland and no one can seem to definitely say what the CDP benefits are. I've spoken to AMEX Cent and Hertz directly - all they seem to know about are US benefits and standard #1 Club Gold benefits. I was under the impression that there were some small benefits from the CDP internationally - upgrades (don't know the extent of this) and complimentary ski rack (probably only $50, but still nice to save if we can). They just keep saying they think you get a one-class upgrade. That's fine if that is for real, but they don't seem too sure and I've seen conflicting details. Also, if that is the case, there is no point in paying extra to use the Centurion rate over AAA or something similar.

Also - does anyone know if it is possible to get some sort of statement outlining the benefits for a specific CDP? Something that one could bring with you when picking up the car?

Thanks, and sorry for dragging up an old thread, but it is the exact topic I am questioning. Better this than starting something new.
