Fees estimator at tripadvisor.co.uk

There's an interesting beta fees estimator at tripadvisor.co.uk which looks a little more realistic than the one at ba.com.

You can specify:

- How many bags will you check? (per traveller): 0/1/2
- What payment method will you use for your ticket?: Visa/MC/AX/Debit/Electron/Solo
- Will you want to choose your own seat?: Yes/No
- Will you purchase food or beverages on board?: Yes/No

Selected dummy fares for LON-ZRH in late October:
- no bags, Electron, no seat res, no catering: EZ £56, LX £108, BA £110 (at Expedia, £114 from BA) - though Electron is n/a at ba.com (is this true?)
- 1 bag, AX, seat res, catering (1 snack and 1 non-alcoholic drink with EZ): EZ £79, LX £108, BA £110/114
which is where the system needs more testing as there is no calculation for EZ jump-the-queue and LX and BA don't charge for catering. Links to booking agents are provided with the sample fares.

It seems FR are missing. I checked LON-BSL. EZ are around £71/£94, LX £105 and BA £119 for my dates. They don't show FR. Just for comparison, I checked FR:
- 0 bags, Electron, no seat selection, no catering: £19.11 (return)
- 1 bag, Visa (no AX), priority boarding (no selection for catering): £65.11

http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Flights - choose date and route and then click on Fees Estimator. This could be useful when the glitches are sorted. As always, YMMV.
