There was an excellent op ed piece by Vir Sanghvi in yesterday's paper. (Either the TOI or the HT. Can't remember which since I read both, but prob HT IIRC).

Discussed AI thru the glory years under JRD, and then the mess that it is today all caused (atleast according to Sanghvi) by Morarji Desai. (Former Indian PM, better known for something else )
